The valley of the Lozoya is surrounded to the northwest by Montes Carpetanos, to the east by the Mountain range of the Morcuera and to the south by the Long Prudent denominated one. This situation confers very special climatic characteristics to him. Thanks to the effect barrier that causes the Mountain range of Guadarrama, with elevations near the 2000 m.s, this enclave enjoy climatic parameters on local scale clearly different from those from the contiguous zones of the Castilian plateau. This way the precipitation is much more abundant and the temperatures are less warm. Due to this special climate in this wonderful place we can find as much typical vegetal species of the center of the peninsula like own species of the North zone.

Por la carretera de la Coruña A-6:
Desvío Puerto de Navacerrada. Coronado el Puerto a la derecha dirección Puerto de Cotos. Al bajar nos encontramos Rascafría. Dirección Lozoya M-604 a 4 Km. se encuentra Alameda del Valle.
